This was disclosed at its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) themed ‘Rebuilding Better, Together’, held at Radisson Hotel, Ikeja.
The NiMRA President, Seyi Adeoye, described the AGM as a pivotal step in revitalising the association and shaping its future.
He noted that for years, mutual distrust and lack of coordinated actions had stunted the association’s progress.
Adeoye added that the new leadership was committed to fostering unity, providing platforms and enhancing global exposure for its members by setting industry standards, offering educational resources, and establishing international partnerships to support growth.
He explained the critical role of market research in driving informed decision-making for businesses and governance.
“We are the custodians of data analytics for the nation. Businesses rely on data to make better decisions, identify growth opportunities, and launch new products effectively”.
Beyond supporting businesses, NiMRA aims to contribute to societal development by undertaking collaborative projects aligned with Nigeria’s socio-economic goals,” he added.
The Chairperson of NiMRA’s Event and Publicity Committee, Yemisi Makinde, attributed the association’s inactivity in recent years partly to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She expressed optimism about the new leadership’s vision for continuity and progress, with the AGM serving as a platform to outline plans for collective growth.
A member of NiMRA, Godson Behek, emphasised the association’s regulatory role in addressing complaints and ensuring adherence to ethical practices.
He noted the importance of unity in promoting credibility and professionalism within the industry, adding that a collective voice would strengthen the association’s contribution to Nigeria’s development.
