The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is not recruiting personnel contrary to the news making the rounds in some quarters, the Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede, has clarified.

He, therefore, advised the public to be wary of the fake multiple websites being operated by fraudsters disguising as recruiters for the service.

A statement yesterday in Abuja read: “This notice became necessary due to the increasing activities of fraudsters that have remained unrepentant after several arrests and arraignments.”

They continue to open fake recruitment sites through which they defraud unsuspecting citizens of their money.”
