Delta North senatorial aspirant of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Delta State, Mr. Anthony Ochei, has written a petition against another contestant, Mrs Mariam Ali, accusing her of being a member of two political parties.

The petition addressed to the national chairman of NNPP, is tagged: “A Complaint of Procedural Irregularities and Non-Compliance with our Party Constitution/Guidelines as well as Reckless Display of Anti-party by Dr. Mrs Mariam Ali Amodu, in the recently conducted NNPP Delta North Primary.”

He alleged that Ali was still a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) when the primary election was conducted and Mrs Alli was declared winner.

Ochei argued that she had no right to contest under the platform of any other party, including NNPP.

The petitioner told The Guardian, yesterday, in Asaba that he should be declared the winner of the primary, as Ali had contravened the party constitution.
