No exit date for N-Power’s first batch, says FG
No date has been announced for the exit of the first batch of volunteers enrolled in the Federal Government’s N-Power scheme.
A statement signed by the Communications Manager, National Social Investment Office (NSIO) Justice Bibiye, yesterday, explained that the clarification became necessary against the backdrop of speculations on the social media about the current status of the N-Power programme.
Launched in 2016 by President Muhammadu Buhari, the graduate and non-graduate job enhancement scheme is facilitated by the Federal Government with support from the other tiers of government and the private sector.
It was conceived essentially to engage young graduates in different sectors, including health, education and agriculture. The beneficiaries are given N30,000 stipends monthly and tools to aid their skills development.
