Nollywood actor, Damola Olatunji, who was detained by the Nigeria police for confronting them has regained freedom after hours in custody.
Nollywood actor, Damola Olatunji, who was detained by the Nigeria police for confronting them has regained freedom after hours in custody.
The actor was detained at the Area P Police Command, Abesan, Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State on Monday.
Olatunji in a message posted online, wrote, “They are detaining me at Area P, Police Station for standing up for a bike man.”
He had confronted a police officer for slapping his personal assistant at Abule Egba.
According to Olatunji, trouble started after he asked policemen to release a motorcycle seized from a rider.
The actor during an Instagram live video could be seen accusing Police officers of extorting the public and making life difficult for everyone.
Policemen could be seen trying to hide their faces from the camera as the actor recorded the incident.
Olatunji, however, deleted the video from his page.
The actor was later charged to court on a six-count charge and granted bail by the magistrate court in Ogba.
