Northern Christians have passed a vote of confidence on the National President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr. Supo Ayokunle, ahead of the Association’s elections in June 2019.

The Vice Chairman of the 19 Northern States CAN, Reverend Joseph John Hayab, speaking on the preparation by CAN to elect new national officers, said the incumbent President has protected and defended the interest of Christians in the country.

According to him, Christian leaders in the north and southern parts of Nigeria are behind leadership and his return as CAN President for the elections.
