NSCDC nabs 10 suspects in Delta

Delta State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 32-year-old Kabiru Bulama (male) and Alli Muhammed, 27, in connection with adulterated products, which they claimed was supplied by one Alhaji Musa in Port Harcourt, River State.

The Commandant, Mr. Akinsanya Abiodun, said that on January 24, the tactical team of the anti-vandal unit arrested a 40ft container conveying polythene in sacks, suspected to be adulterated gas oil called diesel, adding that the content capacity of each sack is 25 litres.

In the case of dealing in illegal petroleum products (AGO), he said Chibuike Anene and Chukwuka Edobike were arrested in Niger Cart, Warri with Mack Truck and 2400 litres of AGO concealed in polythene sacks.

He said a 27-year-old Offia Harrison was arrested for alleged financial fraud of N10m in Asaba, while Chinonye Stephen was nabbed with truck loaded with 45,000 litres of illegally refined AGO.

The command, according to him, generated N15m for the Federal government in six months.
