Reviewing the parade, Niger state Governor, Abubakar Bello, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Hannatu Salihu, pledged to provide security agencies with the necessary support in the discharge of their duties.
The Commandant of the Corps in the state, Ahmed Dandare identified inadequate funds as one of the factors militating against the smooth operations of the Corps and stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to move forward.
Dandare explained that the new female squad as well as the training and retraining of its personnel was aimed at promoting and enhancing professionalism in the service.
Deputy Commandant Samson Friday, NSCDC Head of Training Department, said that the special female squad would be posted to the educational sector to protect lives and properties.
