The Nomfro Technologies Entrepreneurship Empowerment Project (NTEEP) has announced the launch of the fifth edition of its continent-wide startup training program, set to run from May 12 to 30, 2025. The initiative, now in its fifth year, is aimed at equipping early-stage African entrepreneurs with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed to build resilient and scalable businesses.
Delivered entirely online and free of charge, NTEEP 5.0 will host over 2,000 entrepreneurs across Africa through a series of interactive training sessions and expert-led presentations. The program continues to build on NTEEP’s mission to democratize access to entrepreneurship support, especially for underserved startups navigating today’s volatile economic landscape.
Initiative for African Startups
Founded in 2020 by Nigerian tech entrepreneur Adams John Smart aka A.J. Smart, NTEEP was created in response to the economic disruptions African businesses faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the project has supported more than 1,600 startups, providing access to digital tools, mentorship, and capacity-building workshops.
NTEEP’s Vision for 2025
In a statement regarding the launch of NTEEP 5.0, Founder and CEO of Nomfro Technologies Adams John Smart aka A.J. Smart commented on the project’s ambitions for this year’s training:
“NTEEP 5.0 is not just another startup workshop—it’s a movement. Our goal this year is to continue bridging the knowledge and digital divide for African entrepreneurs, providing access to tools and training that many would otherwise not afford. We’re building a pan-African network of problem-solvers, and we believe that by empowering even one entrepreneur, we’re impacting entire communities.”
The 2025 theme, “Fostering a Dynamic Ecosystem That Drives Growth,” reflects the project’s long-term vision to nurture an interconnected network of entrepreneurs who are not only able to survive but also to thrive and expand their reach across borders.
More Than Just Training
In addition to learning sessions, NTEEP will also provide selected participants with access to a suite of business automation tools—such as Business Websites, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Human Resource Management (HRM) tools, Accounting software, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Inventory Management platforms. These tools, typically costly for startups, are being offered as part of the initiative’s pro bono support model.
Call for Participation
Startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, and youth-led businesses across Africa are encouraged to register and participate in the upcoming training series. With a strong focus on real-world application and mentorship, NTEEP 5.0 promises to offer not only knowledge but actionable guidance for growth.
