NUT flays FG for allegedly recruiting unqualified teachers
The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has accused the Federal Government of recruiting non-professionals as tutors in primary and secondary schools across the federation through its N-Power programme.
Secretary of the Anambra State wing of the union, Comrade Livinus Eta Omini, in an interview with The Guardian yesterday in Awka attributed the development to poor budgetary allocations to the education sector.
He pointed out that the parlous votes had had its adverse effect on infrastructure, recruitment, welfare, coverage among others.
The scribe stated that the out-sourced teachers would only breed and sustain quackery in the profession.
