The Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the two suits filed by Prince Ned Nwoko challenging the choice of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard-bearer for Delta North in the February 23, 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections.

He specifically disputed the declaration of Nwaoboshi as winner of the party’s primary which held on October 2, 2018 in Delta State.

The five-man panel, led by Justice Inyang Okoro, dismissed the suit for lack of jurisdiction.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had on April 3, 2019 declared Nwokwo as the true candidate of the PDP for the polls, but the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division upturned the judgment.
