Sen. Adeniyi Adegbonmire, (APC/ Ondo Central) has said the legacies of wisdom and exemplary leadership of late Oba Frederick Aroloye, the Owa of Idanre, should serve as example for the country’s leaders.
This is contained in a tribute to the late traditional ruler, which Adegbonmire made available to newsmen on Thursday in Akure.
The lawmaker praised the traditional ruler’s immense contributions to the development of Idanre Kingdom, and Ondo State as a whole.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aroloye died on Wednesday at the age of 102 after 42-years of reign.
“Oba Aroloye’s life was a testament to his wisdom, leadership, and dedication to his people”.
“During his reign, he oversaw significant developments in Idanre, including the establishment of a local government area, improvements in education and agriculture, and the promotion of cultural heritage.
“His commitment to peace and unity earned him respect and admiration from far and wide.
“As we mourn the passing of this iconic leader, we also celebrate his life and legacy,” Adegbonmire said.
He stated that the traditional ruler’s impact on the community would never be forgotten, adding that his dedication to the welfare of his people and his tireless efforts to promote peace and unity would always be remembered.
“May Oba Aroloye’s memory be a blessing to us all, and may his legacy continue to inspire us towards a brighter future.”
“His Majesty’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy will continue to guide us towards a brighter future,” the  lawmaker said.
