Obaro of Kabba receives instrument of office

Ahead of his coronation, the newly appointed Obaro of Kabba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi has been presented his instrument and paraphernalia of office, as a monarch and Chairman Okun Area Traditional Council.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftainc Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Ohere, who handed over the items at the Ministry of Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, Lokoja, congratulated him on the appointment.

In the same vein, the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will present staff of office to the new Oluoke of Okeigbo, Oba Lawrence Oluwole Babajide, in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of the state. 

Chairman of the Coronation Committee, Dr. Bolu Adeboye, who disclosed this yesterday, in Akure revealed that the monarch will be installed as Bamigbala I, at the Civic Centre, Okeigbo, on Friday September 14, 2018.

The Planning Committee urged all Okeigbo indigenes at home and abroad and all well-wishers across the world to assist and cooperate with the committee to ensure a successful coronation ceremony.

While handing over the instrument of office, Ohere urged the new Obaro to continue to maintain peace and tranquility in Kabba community and Okunland, as the paramount ruler of the area.

He said: the ministry was already working out a date for the presentation of the staff of office, which would be carried out in Kabba.

He urged the people of the community to continue to support the new administration in its efforts to reposition the state for the prosperity of all.
