The presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party (LP) in the forthcoming general elections in 2023, Peter Obi, yesterday, at the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries’ programme in Ijesha, Lagos, tagged: “…And the Enemies submitted,” urged Christians to intercede for Nigeria and its poor citizens, as well as politicians.

Obi, who is not a new face at The Lord’s Chosen programmes, specifically asked Christians to pray for those in power and politicians like him so that God will help them to judiciously use public funds for the good of Nigerians and not for self-aggrandisement.

Obi, who believes in the potency of prayer, noted that the power of prayer could change the negative narratives in the country.

As one of the personalities that graced the Lord’s Chosen two-day event, the former governor of Anambra State said: “As a member of The Lord’s Chosen family, I have always been part of this family for over 20 years and all that I can ask you today is, as you pray, remember your country Nigeria.”

He added: “Please pray for Nigeria. Pray for the poor Nigerians that are suffering in their country.”

Continuing, Obi added: “My prayer point is one thing, let God Almighty touch all of us who are politicians and use us as examples to use public funds for public good.”

The international programme, which attracted worshippers from within and outside the country, ended yesterday with so many miracles.
