Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori has assured the people of Delta State of greater dividends of democracy in 2025, calling on all and Sundry for more prayers and support for his administration to thrive.

He made the call in his New Year message to the people in which he expressed gratitude to God for seeing Deltans and residents through 2024 and into 2025, remarking that last year was quite challenging for the state and the nation.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Oborevwori thanked Deltans for their continued support of his administration in the past 19 months and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the state through massive investments in infrastructure and human capital development.

He urged the people to remain prayerful and trustful that God would do new things for them and the state in the New Year.

Meanwhile, Oborevwori has lauded the “Warri Again” initiative for its consistency in showcasing and promoting talents in music, dancing and comedy.
Represented by the Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency at an event, Patrick Ukah, the governor expressed hope that the programme would unite Deltans within and outside the state, and keep them connected to their roots.

Warri Again is a yearly music, comedy, and dance event, organised by Brownhill Group, to hone raw skills.
Known for packaging some of the most adventurous events in Nigeria, the organisers held the programme in Lagos.

“Over the years, Warri Again has become a cultural landmark, contributing significantly to the entertainment landscape in Nigeria, he said.”The 22nd edition, titled ‘Bangs and Bullets’ had in attendance prominent sons and daughters of Delta State, including the former governor of the state, James Ibori, and former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Richard Mofe-Damejo.
