Ogun police begin probe into Isheri Day killings

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, has ordered a full investigation into the shooting at the yearly Isheri Day festival by suspected soldiers, linked to Ikeja Cantonment, with a view to bringing the suspects to justice.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, has ordered a full investigation into the shooting at the yearly Isheri Day festival by suspected soldiers, linked to Ikeja Cantonment, with a view to bringing the suspects to justice.

Three persons were reportedly killed while others were injured during the celebration on Tuesday.

A statement signed by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he commands had contacted the military authorities in Ogun State and efforts were in place to ensure that the suspected killer(s) are brought to book.
