Ogun to boost employment with ICT

Dapo Abiodun

Ogun State Government has reiterated its commitment to Information Communication Technology (ICT) to empower youths in the state and make them self-reliant.

Special Adviser to the Governor Dapo Abiodun on Information Communication Technology, Dayo Abiodun, disclosed this while receiving an award bestowed on Ogun State Government by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as the 2nd runner-up in the “Most Digitally Compliant State” category at the 2023 Digital Nigeria Award Dinner held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Abiodun said the administration was determined to upgrade the knowledge of individuals on cyber security, data analysis, web designing and many more, towards making them relevant in the emerging technology world.

He encouraged interested members of the public to register for the ongoing 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) training programme organised by NITDA.

While attributing the award to the digital initiatives of Governor Abiodun for his unrelenting effort in the digitalisation drive, he stated that the state government was organising training programmes for residents, especially youths.

“This recognition is a testament to the remarkable strides we have made in embracing digital transformation and ensuring compliance with the ever-evolving digital landscape under the guidance of the Governor,” he said.

IN the meantime, the state government has commenced the construction of a 13.1-kilometre Ijana, Owojo, Oyebola, and Alapako road in Obafemi Owode Council of the state to boost agricultural activities and make life meaningful to the rural dwellers in the state.
