The Ogun Government says it’s planning to commence the second phase of the 200 housing units in Aviation Village, Iperu-Remo, before the end of the first quarter of 2025.
The state Commissioner for Housing, Mr Akande Omoniyi, disclosed this while inspecting the first phase of the housing units at Iperu-Remo in Ikenne Local Government Area on Monday.
Omoniyi said the first phase of the housing estate was fully sold out, with facilities, such as drainages, roads, electrical fittings and security, fully provided.
The commissioner noted that subscribers could start moving into the apartments by Wednesday.
According to him, the road network is 98 per cent completed.

“This implies that by Wednesday, the subscribers of this estate can move in and begin to live in the estate.
“Every facility that is needed for a comfortable living has been provided by the government of Gov. Dapo Abiodun.
“The housing estate is to provide support for those who will be working and having businesses around the almost completed Gateway International Airport, along the Iperu/Ilisan Road.
“It is part of the deliberate plans of the government to open up Remo development clusters.
“So far, what we have on ground is fully sold, and I am happy to announce that on or before the first quarter of this year, we shall open up phase 2 for another 200 units of affordable housing scheme,” he said.
