Okorocha gives Imo workers two-week holiday
Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has declared a two-week holiday for all civil servants in the state.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, and made available to The Guardian yesterday, Okorocha directed workers, in the usual Christmas seasonal manner, to vacate for Yuletide holiday yesterday, December 22, to resume on Monday, January 8, next year.
While wishing them a blissful Yuletide, Okorocha recalled that he had approved the payment of their November and December salaries, saying only workers on essential duties were exempted from the directive.
