Okorocha seeks prayers for leaders, national unity, progress

As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has urged Islamic faithful to pray for the unity and progress of Nigeria.In a statement yesterday issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, he also charged them to pray for Nigeria’s leaders, saying that sincere prayers will make the country stronger and more united.

He also charged Nigerians to avoid hate speeches, condemning sectionalism among others. “Time has come for Nigerians to avoid hate speeches, shun greed, condemn sectionalism and opt for nationalism, tolerance and understanding among Nigerians.“Governor Okorocha wishes President Mohammadu Buhari and all Muslims in the country a remarkable and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir,” the statement reads.
