The Household of God Church would tomorrow celebrate the annual GRACE programme from 5:30pm at its premises in Oregun area of Lagos.

The annual end-of-year event, which was instituted by its Founder, Rev. Chris Okotie, and was first celebrated in 1990, has been held in December ever since.

Okotie has over the years, emphasised that the programme, which is defined as God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense, is the extension of the ministry of the church that he pastors to the larger Nigerian society.

Past beneficiaries of the church’s philanthropy to the tune of N2million include the Strong Tower Mission, Pacelli School for the Blind, Spinal Chord Injuries Association and the Sunshine Foundation.

A later addition to the church’s benevolence is the Karis Award, which is a special recognition of outstanding service to the nation by an individual that have not been acknowledged and celebrated by government.

Another recent addition into the GRACE is the Queen Esther Costume Pageant, a competition in which ladies in the church dress up in costumes depicting characters from biblical times.
