Olubadan receives Atiku, el-Rufai, others, says I am no longer a politician

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has stated that he is no longer a politician. He said that he had finally quit politics after becoming the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, made the assertion yesterday, during a courtesy visit to his palace in Ibadan by former Vice President, Abubakar Atiku; former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai; former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu, and other notable personalities.

He recalled his good times with Atiku and other politicians in the country during his time in active politics, noting that he has quit politics because of his new status.

The new Olubadan, however, promised to use his stool to promote justice and fairness throughout his reign.

Meanwhile, Atiku, in his speech, apologised for his inability to attend the coronation ceremony.He said, “Kindly forgive our inability to attend your coronation ceremony last week as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
