Olukoya urges Christians to pray more to wade through 2025

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, has asserted that the events of 2024 dovetail into 2025, urging Nigerians to pray more in order to wade through the New Year.

Olukoya, who described 2025 as a year with strange battles, urged Christians to be prayerful in their resolve to serve God.

Noting that those without glory would fight to upstage those with glory, the cleric said the dark stars would fight to eliminate the shining stars, the tail would want to fight the head, the thief would fight the owner, and those uncircumcised would like to kill the circumcised. He added that only those who are strong in the Lord would receive restoration from Him, and those who are fake would be disgraced.

He warned married men who sleep around with “strange women” to desist or face the wrath of God. He also urged Christians to forgive those who wrong them.

The respected man of God described the year as one of restoration and deliverance. Olukoya, who spoke during the ‘2024 Pray Your Way Into 2025 Cross-Over and Prosperity Night Service’ held at the Prayer City, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, gave three anecdotes to Nigerians to successfully overcome the New Year.

He said: “You need power. Jesus told His disciples, ‘You shall receive power.’ You need to be strong in the Lord; be baptized in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Children of God need power to see divine opportunities.

“Miracles of open eyes. If one’s eyes are closed, one gets into trouble in the New Year.
“Targeted prayers. Christians need to pray targeted prayers to survive in 2025,” Olukoya added. Citing the fight between David and Goliath as an example, Olukoya noted that David used spiritual powers over the physical to defeat his opponent.
According to him, the only language demons understand is violent prayers.

The cleric quoted copiously from Hosea 4:12; Psalm 119:18; Luke 24:30-31; and 2nd Kings 6:8-17, among others.

Olukoya, who lamented that ignorance is a terrible thing, enjoined Christians to pray seriously to see divine opportunities, elevation, and other essentials of life.

He said: “When one’s eyes are open, one sees deep things.” According to Olukoya, the motto of the prayer and deliverance ministry for 2025 is “2025: My Year of Power and Undeniable Victory,” with the anchor scriptures in Acts 1:8; Psalm 108:13; Luke 10:19; and Romans 8:37.

The service, which started with scintillating musical concerts at 4 p.m. on December 31, 2024, closed at 5:10 a.m. on January 1, 2025, with the midweek special Manna Water Service.
