As members of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide prepare to celebrate the church’s 35th anniversary and 2024 yearly convention from August 15-18, 2024, Founder and General Overseer (GO) of the church, Dr Daniel Olukoya and his wife, Dr Elizabeth Olukoya, have paid an inspection visit to the Prayer City to see the state of preparedness of the facilities.

The GO’s wife, who got ecstatic when the inspection team got to the archival arena of the Shopping Mall where the Volkswagen ‘Danfo’ bus her husband first used is domiciled for historical purposes, recalled that the bus was what she and her husband drove to drop off worshippers, one after the other, after the evening service at Surulere axis from where they moved to Obalende to drop off those who resided in Victoria Island before heading back home in Yaba, Lagos.

The bus, said to bear the original number plate LA 7739 BE, was undergoing panel-beating work to give it a fresh look where it had been parked. The four tyres are still intact and it looks splendid with all other of its components intact. Indeed, it is a tourist attraction to visitors and worshippers alike.

Meanwhile, after taking off from the entrance into the sprawling Prayer City Camp, the Olukoyas inspected the horticultural gardens lining both sides of the road, which had been resuscitated and receiving final touches.

Also, at one of the residential halls visited, the MFM founder and his wife were shown some of the newly renovated guests’ rooms where they made observations about few things offered suggestions.

They also visited the 9th Avenue of the Prayer City, which was hitherto a waterlogged area but were amazed at the renovation works being done in the place that is now well paved and beautiful. The team later moved to the altar arena where some recommendations were made to the contractor handling the renovation, as well as the deliverance halls.
