A Research and Advocacy Group, Young Ondo Professional Foundation (YOPROF) has urged the people of Ondo State to shun politics of money and vote for their conscience as they decide on who becomes the next Governor of the State tomorrow 10th October 2020.

The group, in a statement on Friday evening, said intelligence report available before them shows that the opposition’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is currently mobilising their ward chairmen with #150, 000 each to win each polling unit across the 203 wards of the state.

The statement, signed by the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the group, Mr. Oloruntoba Akintan, urged the electorate to shun politics of money and vote for purposeful leadership and development.

“We have confirmed that the PDP is currently sharing #150, 000 to each of their unit Coordinators through their ward leaders with the aim of capturing Ondo State. The funds, shared under the supervision of one Segun Showumi from Ogun State, was moved into Ondo State from Ibadan, Oyo State and Yenogoa, Bayelsa State.

“Well, our only appeal at PMG is the people of Ondo state should not allow our State head to the Golgotha. The #5,000 that would be given to you by these locusts cannot even cook a good pot of soup.

“Remember, when you collect money to vote, you lose your right to demand for dividends of democracy from the government. Please, reject vote-buying democracy in Ondo State,” YOPROF said.
