The lady, a hairstylist, was said to have taken the poisonous substance in her residence at Ijapo Estate axis in Akure South Local Government Area of the state where her mother found her unconscious.
The Guardian learnt that Balogun had a smooth relationship with her boyfriend, with the lovebirds always seen together until a few days ago when he opened up to her, that he was no longer interested in the relationship.
According to some residents, Balogun’s mother suddenly saw her lying on the floor in her room breathless, with an empty bottle of pesticide in her hands, after which she was rushed to the nearest hospital, where she was revived.
Speaking, a close friend of Balogun, described her as a very beautiful lady that every man would want to have.
According to her, after she could not handle the separation, she withdrew to her shell before attempting to take her life.
She said: “I don’t understand why she did such a thing to herself. The man didn’t give her breathing space. He was always monitoring her movement and everything she does. Yet, he doesn’t have regard for her.
