Onne Customs sets N11b monthly revenue target
The new Customs Area Controller for Port Harcourt Area II Command Onne, Auwal Baba Mohammed, has set N11 billion monthly revenue target. He told reporters on resumption of duties that he would promote a work culture built on due process to achieve his aim.
Mohammed, who recently supervised the arrest of two Lebanese at the Port Harcourt International Airport for attempting to smuggle $890,000, reiterated his zero tolerance for criminality. He declared that his goal of a N500 million daily income would be pursued diligently.
The controller, therefore, sought the cooperation of stakeholders in achieving the objective, stating that maximum enforcement leading to arrests and prosecution of suspects would be directly under his watch.
“The area has a revenue target of over N11 billion monthly. It is not going to be an easy task. At least, we must be able to meet a daily target of about N500 million,” he explained.
