The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has congratulated Stanley Uzochukwu, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, on completing executive leadership programmes at the University of Oxford and Harvard Kennedy School.

In a letter dated May 20, 2026, the monarch commended Uzochukwu’s commitment to continuous education and personal development, describing his academic pursuit at two of the world’s most prestigious institutions as a reflection of his dedication to societal advancement and transformational leadership.

Uzochukwu recently completed several executive programmes at Harvard Kennedy School, including High Performance Leadership, Emerging Leaders, Leadership Decision Making, Leading Successful Programs using Evidence, and Strategic Leadership for Personal Effectiveness.

He subsequently completed the High Performance Leadership programme at the University of Oxford in London.

The Ooni noted that the achievement reinforced Uzochukwu’s reputation as a business leader committed not only to enterprise growth but also to acquiring knowledge capable of addressing broader societal challenges.

“I have always known you as a lover of continuous education, a personality who dedicates himself to acquiring solutions to societal problems, thereby making life better for the common people,” the monarch stated.

According to the royal father, the training and exposure gained from both institutions would further position the businessman to contribute meaningfully to leadership development, governance, entrepreneurship and national progress.

“As the world cannot wait for the deployment of the newly acquired knowledge, I wish to congratulate you once again and wish you success in your future endeavours,” the Ooni added.

Uzochukwu, who founded Stanel Group in 2012, has built the organisation into a diversified Nigerian conglomerate with interests spanning energy, hospitality and retail.

In 2023, he launched The Delborough Lagos, a luxury hospitality brand that has since hosted several global dignitaries, business leaders and public figures.

Beyond business, the entrepreneur has also maintained active involvement in educational and institutional development through various leadership and governance roles.
