The Management of OPay Digital Services Limited has announced that its President/Co-CEO, Mr. Olu Akanmu, would be leaving the company, effective next month.

The company said Akanmu’s records and indelible mark irrefutably shows he has been a critical part of company’s success and goodwill.

The company said, Olu, who is an unrelenting enthusiast for even greater influence and deeper financial inclusion in Nigeria, has decided to pursue other goals all to the end that every Nigerian is able to access financial inclusion and representation.

“While we will miss him, we wish him well in his future endeavours,” the company stated.

The Company has appointed, subject to regulatory approval, Mr Dauda Gotring as the incoming Managing Director of the Company.

Gotring, a veteran in the financial services industry, will continue to steer the OPay ship in the direction of even greater strides

OPay remains committed to its goal of making financial services more inclusiveness with technology.
