I encourage the people of Imo to show example of this love, which I see among them to the rest of the country. This is not my first time in Imo State and each time I come, I see peace everywhere.

Imo State First Lady, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha, left; her husband, Governor Rochas Okorocha, wife of Acting President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo; and Founder/Chief Executive Officer of El-Freeda Foundation, Mrs. Uloma Nwosu, at the commissioning of the foundation, yesterday.

Wife of Acting President, Dolapo Osinbajo, has urged Nigerians to eschew tendencies that fan embers of disunity, as she advocates unity among all.

Mrs. Osinbajo, who made the appeal at the weekend in Owerri, during the inauguration of a non-governmental organisation, El-Freeda Foundation, floated by Governor Rochas Okorocha’s daughter, Mrs. Uloma Nwosu, urged everyone to promote ideals that entrench love.

She said: “I encourage the people of Imo to show example of this love, which I see among them to the rest of the country. This is not my first time in Imo State and each time I come, I see peace everywhere.

Love never fails. I have a request that is deeply rooted in the Bible: love your neighbour as yourself. It is a selfish request, as it entails loving everybody, irrespective of religion or tribe. And this is what Nigerians should be doing now.”

While declaring open the event, she congratulated Uloma and her husband, Uche, for establishing a humanitarian outfit to uplift lives of less privileged women and children.
