Osinbajo, Saraki, others to speak on economy at book presentation

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President Bukola Saraki will tomorrow in Abuja lead other government functionaries at the public presentation of a book on the economy. The book titled, ‘Banking Reform In Nigeria: The Law, The Prospects And The Challenges’, was written by Dr. Bode Ayorinde, with a view revamping the banking sector for sustainable economic development. 
Also expected at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, venue of the event, are the Speaker House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Dr. Godwin Emefiele, the Chief Justice of Nigeria Walter Onnoghen, and Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun. Governor of Ondo State Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is the Special Guest of Honour.
The book traces the historical development of banking in Nigeria and examines relevant laws. Posited to be an invaluable guide to the transformation of the industry, it chronicles past attempts to reform and rebrand the sector, including the earthshaking 2004-2005 consolidation.
The author is a member of the House of Representatives and a scholar, with specialisation in International Banking and Finance Law. He is currently the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State.
