The passed budget has recurrent expenditure of N53.89 billion and capital expenditure, which stands at N75.86 billion. The Speaker, Timothy Owoeye, commended his colleagues and the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation members for their painstaking effort in considering the appropriation bill.
MEANWHILE, the governor, yesterday, wrote to the Assembly seeking tenure extension of local council chairmen by another six months.
Reading the letter from the governor, Owoeye noted that the Assembly would look into the request of tenure elongation for another six months for caretaker chairmen and other management committee members.
