Hails Agagu for establishing OAUSTECH
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, at the weekend, said that the resolve of his administration to hugely fund education in the last six years was borne out of its social debt to the people.

According to the governor, education is one of the cardinal responsibilities of his administration, hence, the timely release of funds.

Akeredolu stated this at the maiden convocation of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OAUSTECH).

The governor stressed that his administration, at its inception, was alarmed over the deplorable condition of things at the university. Akeredolu specifically lauded the former governor of the state, the late Dr. Olusegun Agagu, adding that his special passion, commitment, and magnanimity had made the establishment of the university a reality for the benefit of the entire people of the state and the people of the southern senatorial district in particular.

Earlier in his address, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the university, Prof. Akinbo Adesomoju, commended the Visitor to the university for his non-relenting efforts at improving the institution through many interventions, especially in terms of infrastructural development.
