Yesterday’s sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB failed completely in Ebonyi State as people were seen going their normal businesses.

Similarly, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide led by Deputy National Chairman, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro thanked Ndigbo for avoiding another bloodshed by defying the order.

Both vehicular and human movements were going on just like any other day as people were seen going on their normal businesses.

The Guardian gathered that heavily armed personnel’s comprises the Army, Police, DSS, Civil Defence and Road Safety Corps were seen patrolling some strategic locations in the state.

Our correspondent reports that there was normal free flow of traffic, as commercial buses, tricycles, taxes and okada went about their normal businesses while schools, markets, banks were all open for normal services.

One of the traders, Mr. Peter Idum said that he was happy that people did not observed the exercise saying that Ndigbo have exhibited great maturity.

According to him, the exercise should not be forced on the people maintaining that the reason by IPOB for the sit-at-home is not justifiable.

He further thanked those that joined the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide in the prayer sessions in remembrance of those who lost their lives in Biafra agitation struggle at Seventh Day Adventist church Abakiliki district, Ebonyi.

“This is a victory to all Igbos for avoiding another bloodshed by defying the order to sit-at-home.

Those who had plotted to use the opportunity to massacre innocent unarmed Biafrans, had waited in vain as Ndigbo is wiser not to fall victims of our oppressors.
