The state’s Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Rahman Abiodun Abdu-Raheem, who frowned at the reported case of the student slapping the corps member, ordered his immediate one-month suspension.
Abdu-Raheem, who visited the school, also said the suspension would serve as a deterrent to other students, instructing that the suspension letter be given to his parents.
The commissioner also said that the student, in return, must apologise to the corps member and sign an undertaking not to repeat such act.
Besides, he charged the students to be of good behaviour reiterating that Oyo State government will not condone any act of indiscipline.
He also warned that any student caught acting in an uncivilised manner would henceforth be dismissed from the school in Oyo State.
Abdu-Raheem, however, charged teachers to be more dedicated and punctual at work.
