Oyo to access World Bank $6 million grant
Oyo State is set to access a $6 million dollars grant from the World Bank via that Better Education Service Delivery For All (BESDA) programme under the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
The National Coordinator of the Project, Prof. Gidado Tahir disclosed this yesterday, when he visited the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, at the Agodi governor’s office in Ibadan.
Tahir stated that Oyo state is one of the 11 states in the country to benefit from the grant in Nigeria and will receive the first trench of $3 million in few days.
Represented by the deputy governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, he gave the assurance that Oyo state will give the project the desired attention and co-operation for the benefit of the people of the state and its environs.
