PanAfrican Capital Foundation (PAC Foundation) is pleased to announce the successful commencement of Girls Can Code (GCC) Cohort 4, marking another significant milestone in its commitment to empowering young women with in-demand digital skills for the future of work.
The fourth cohort officially began with a successful onboarding ceremony held on April 24, 2026, welcoming 30 exceptional young women selected from a highly competitive pool of over 1,000 applicants.
For this cohort, PAC Foundation is partnering with NextQuantum Academy as the Technical Delivery Partner, leveraging their expertise to deliver high-quality training and mentorship throughout the program. Participants in Cohort 4 will be trained across two highly sought-after technology tracks: Data Analysis and Cybersecurity, with 15 participants in each track.
The onboarding session provided participants with a comprehensive introduction to the program structure, expectations, and learning journey ahead. Attendees were also guided through the Learning Management System (LMS), which will support their training experience over the next 12 weeks. In addition, the event created an opportunity for participants to connect with one another, learn more about PAC Foundation’s mission, and meet their dedicated coaches and facilitators who will support them throughout the program.
Over the next three months, participants will undergo an intensive, yet flexible training experience designed to equip them with practical technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and industry-relevant skills. A key highlight for GCC Cohort 4 will be a Career Readiness Session, scheduled for the midpoint of the training, where participants will gain valuable insights into employability, workplace preparedness, and career growth pathways.
The Foundation remains optimistic that all 30 participants will successfully complete the program and celebrate their achievements at the graduation ceremony at the end of the 12-week journey. At the launch of the new cohort, PAC Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to closing the gender gap in technology by creating access and opportunities for young women to thrive in digital careers. Girls Can Code continues to serve as a transformative platform for young women to build confidence, gain future-ready skills, and unlock new possibilities in the tech ecosystem.
