Parents slam WAEC for withholding wards’ results
Parents, whose children sat for the 2022 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams in public schools, have expressed disappointment over the non-release of their wards’ results.
Speaking to The Guardian in Minna, yesterday, the concerned parents lamented the lukewarm attitude of WAEC officials in the matter.
However, findings by The Guardian revealed that WAEC has released almost all the results of the private schools, including that of Federal Government Colleges in the state.
Some principals of public schools, on condition of anonymity, noted that no parent owes for WAEC exams, maintaining that WAEC fees were fully paid in all the public schools in the state.
On enquiry, the Head of Exams, WAEC Office in the state declined comments, adding that the management did not authorise any staff to speak to journalists.
