Aka Ikenga and Oodua Peoples Congress yesterday described the death of acclaimed politician and diplomat Chief Ojo Maduekwe and renowned writer, Elechi Amadi as a double blow that is tough to take.

President of Aka Ikenga, Chief Gordy Uwazurike yesterday described Maduekwe as “formidable lawyer and a debater who never shied away from what believed in. The Igbo and the Nigerian nations will miss him.”

President of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Dr. Frederick Fasehun said the late Madueke elevated Nigeria’s image abroad as foreign minister.

The OPC leader said, “Nigeria will miss him.”
