PDP caretaker committee is illegal, court declares
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has declared the recently constituted caretaker committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) illegal.
Justice Ibrahim Buba in his ruling on Tuesday ordered the Inspector General of Police to ensure that the members of the committee do not take over the Party’s national headquarters and that Ali Modu Sheriff remains the national chairman of the PDP.
The party’National Executive Council (NEC) and National Working Committee (NWC) were dissolved on Saturday and the committee headed by a former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi, set up.
The motion to dissolve the party’s NEC and NWC was moved by Mr Austin Opara, a former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives and seconded by Mr Emeka Ihedioha, also a former Deputy Speaker of the house.
Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers and Chairman of the party`s National Convention Committee put the question and the motion was affirmed by the delegates.

???… This PDP is in a real mess, truth be told.
I’m sure, though, that the party still has in its midst some incurable optimists… In the meantime, people like Femi Fani-Kayode appear to have heaved a sigh of relief too soon that Sherif was gotten rid of. Hehehe.
What I do know, is that, the PDP – as a group of people – cannot keep doing the same things over and over, and expect a different result.
Hmm.
