A former member of Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Okwuchukwu Okafor, has faulted claims by Governor Willie Obiano that the state now exports vegetables.

Okafor, who spoke with journalists in Awka, said the Obiano administration has not done anything to positively impact the lives of residents and citizens, which according to him explains why the government has resorted to propaganda.

The PDP stalwart noted that the people “cannot be deceived by cheap propaganda and at the appropriate time, the governor would be shown the way out of Government House.”

Okafor urged the governor to measure what is ground with his proclamation on the day of his swearing in and say in all honesty if he has performed or not.

He stated that Anambra used to boast of the best internal road network before he current administration assumed office.

He said: “When Obiano came on board, he declared a zero tolerance to potholes on the roads in the state, but what we have on the roads today are not just potholes, but gullies that have become death traps.”

“Our governor now moves from one church to the other, telling the congregation how the state has become a leading exporter of Ugwu, bitter leaf and Okro, but he will not dare mention how much the state has generated through his fathom exportation or show us the new rich farmers of these products.”
