The death has been announced of Ahosi (Queen) Christiana Abiodun Koshoedo mother of the Hon. Arc. Setonji Koshoedo, the National Deputy Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Ahosi Abiodun Koshoedo, 89 years, was a renowned seamstress, homemaker, disciplinarian and promoter of self-discipline in the home among couples in her lifetime.

A lover of God and children, she was popular with women in the Cathedral Church of St. Thomas, Hospital Road, Badagry for always admonishing them to take proper care of their husbands, children and homes so as to have a peaceful future in them.

It will be recalled that Hon. Koshoedo’s father, His Royal Majesty, The Tha-Zunnoh, Toyon 1, Aholu Ebenezer his Koshoedo of Ajara Veto kingdom in the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, passed on at 103 years on October 30, 2022.

The seven-day committal ceremony for the king will start with King Mother’s Day at the palace in Vethogbo Compound, Ajara Badagr on Monday, January 30.

The Royal and Chieftaincy Cabinet’s Day holds on Tuesday at Agasa Pohepo, while a community day of tributes holds on Wednesday at the same venue in Ajara Vetho, Badagry.

The Ahosi’s burial programme has been incorporated into the monarch’s final committal program with the Service of Commemoration/Wake Keep coming up at 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Tha-Zunnoh’s palace. 

The burial service comes up at 10.00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the Cathedral Church of St. Thomas, Hospital Road, Badagry Internment holds at the Tha-Zunnoh’s palace. 

The grand reception will be held immediately after that on the grounds of the Nigerian French Language Village, Ajara, Badagry.

A cultural to celebrate the lives and times of the deceased will hold on Saturday, February 4 and a thanksgiving service will be held at the Cathedral Church of St Thomas, Badagry, on February 5, 2023.
