A pipeline explosion Thursday morning forced residents to flee for safety at Isheri Olofin, Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State,

It was learned that the explosion occurred as a result of pipeline damaged by vandals within Gloryland Estate.

However, casualties are yet to be ascertained as the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) officials have been deployed to the area.

A similar incident had occurred in the same area on June 19. Although no life was lost to the explosion also caused by vandals who tampered with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipeline in the area, several cars and other houses were burnt.
