Pipeline Protection: Monarch urges support for Tompolo’s Tantita Security
The Paramount Ruler of the oil/gas-rich Great Idjerhe Kingdom, His Majesty, King Obukowho Monday Whiskey, Udurhie 1, on Sunday, urged Niger Delta patriots, particularly the youths, to work assiduously with Tantita Security Services Limited for Nigeria to meet its daily oil production target.
Whiskey said Tantita Security Services, owned and operated by Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, is not only safeguarding the nation’s assets at this critical time but also greatly helping in increasing crude oil production and creating jobs for thousands of unemployed youths across the region.
The monarch, who doubles as the National Chairman of Host Communities (HOSCON) Traditional Rulers and Elders Advisory, said Tompolo’s firm has been at the vanguard of fighting pipeline vandalism and illegal oil bunkering in the creeks of the Niger Delta region.
However, the monarch expressed sadness that instead of working with the firm for peace to reign in the region, those he called faceless individuals—who lost their illegal means of livelihood as a result of Tantita Security’s operations—are now regrouping to blackmail the authorities of Tantita Security.
This development, he said, is inimical to helping in environmental restoration of the area for achieving greater success in safeguarding the nation’s assets.
To this end, the king advised all patriotic Niger Deltans to channel their efforts toward promoting unity, development, and peaceful coexistence in the region, especially as it affects the operational successes of Tantita Security Services Limited.
He said that with the successes recorded so far by the authorities of Tantita Security Services Limited, patriots of the region should rather be advocating for the expansion of the scope of work to enable the region to benefit more from the program and not engage in the current trend of blackmail and the “pull-him-down” syndrome.
According to him, the Federal Government, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and many patriotic Nigerians are well impressed by the uncommon feat Tompolo has achieved using his Tantita Security Services networks to safeguard critical national assets.
He advised those involved in these unholy actions to channel their useful energies into more productive activities instead of fighting a successful venture of an individual whose excellent performance is being commended nationally.
