Police commence raids on criminal hideouts in Borno

The Borno Police Command has commenced raids of criminal hideouts and black spots to ensure a peaceful Easter celebration in the state.Motorists and tricycle operators are also warned against violating traffic rules and regulations during the four-day celebration.

Spokesman of the Police, Victor Isuku in a statement issued yesterday, said that drivers and tri-cyclists are to avoid all forms of recklessness, drug abuse and drunkenness, while plying the roads and highways.

He also assured worshippers of the safety of their lives and properties, while parents are advised to take proper care of children and wards to prevent them from going missing during the festivities.

He advised the public to be always security conscious; and report any suspicious persons, movements and objects to the nearest police station and other security agencies.
