Police deploy officers to Osun communities over disputed boundary
Osun State police command has drafted anti-riot policemen to Moro and Yakoyo communities in Ife North Local Government Area to forestall a possible breakdown of law and order.
The police action was informed by the killing of an indigene of Moro who will be buried today when the two neighbouring communities clashed about two weeks ago over a disputed boundary.
The Guardian learnt that Commissioner of Police (CP), Mrs. Abiodun Ige, yesterday beefed up security in the area due tensions building up in preparation for the burial of the murdered youth during the crisis.
Moro and Yakoyo are kinsmen, but the boundary dispute had put them on edge in recent times, culminating in the death of an indigene of Moro two weeks ago.
