Police in Ogun State have embarked on joint security operations with other security agencies to boost security measures across the state to ensure a peaceful and safe Easter celebration in the state.
The operations involved deploying substantial number of the forces to secure operational assets and strengthening patrols along major highways and strategic locations to protect lives and property in the state during the celebration.
Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, who confirmed this to newsmen yesterday in Abeokuta, the state capital, said the joint security became imperative to ensure adequate security during the festive season
Babaseyi said that the coordinated operation include patrol vehicles, tactical teams, and intelligence assets, all aimed at reinforcing security presence, reassuring the public, and deterring criminal activities within the state.
However, The Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has ordered the massive deployment of personnel for traffic control and operational duties during and after the festive period.
