The Police in Enugu yesterday foiled an attempt by members of the Biafra Zionists Federation (BZF) to seize Enugu State Government House and announce the Independence of Biafra.

President and Leader of BZF, Benjamin Onwuka, had defiled police warnings urging abortion of the declaration and led over 50 members of his group to the Government House.Chanting solidarity songs as they marched, they were confronted at the gate by police officers and a hot exchange that arose led to the arrest of several of the members, including Onwuka.
