Police hunt four suspects after killing of 20-year-old in Lagos

The family of a 20-year-old man simply identified as Peter is currently in mourning and calling for justice after he was murdered in cold blood in the Ojo area of Lagos by four unidentified men.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the case on September 6, stating that at around 9:30 pm, they received information from concerned members of the public that four unidentified gunmen were seen chasing Peter in Abeokuta Street, Okokomaiko, Ojo, and shot him several times in the head, stomach, and leg until he died.
The spokesperson for the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said that after the attack, the gunmen abandoned Peter’s body and fled the scene. The police immediately responded to the scene and met with Peter’s mother, Vivian, who identified him. His body was evacuated and deposited at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) Mortuary in Yaba, Lagos.
An investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to track the fleeing suspects for arrest and prosecution.
