Police nab three for attack on dep governor’s convoy

Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bola Longe, has confirmed arrest of three suspects in connection with the attack on the deputy governor’s convoy that led to the death of three policeman and two drivers.

Speaking with journalists in his office at the command headquarters in Lafia yesterday, the police boss said the three suspects were arrested at the scene of the attack shortly after the incident.

“Our officers arrested some two Fulani men late night. When we interrogated them, we discovered that they are informants who feed the hoodlums on when to operate,” he said, adding that the third suspect, who was feigning insanity, was arrested with army uniform near the spot.
